David Laing, D.D.S. was born in Chicago, Illinois.  He graduated Herdon High School in Virgina and soon after joined the army where he was an airborne combat medic for three years.  He then joined the Army Reserves while attending college at Northern Arizona University, and double majored in Geology and Chemistry.  After graduating from college, David attended Medical Service Corp Officer Basic Course (OBC) at Ft. Sam Houston, TX where he learned hospital administration and medical logistics.  It was at the OBC that David decided he wanted to attend Dental School.  David Laing attended Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX where he found that he excelled in surgical procedures as well as general dentistry.  From Baylor College of Dentistry David went directly to Oklahoma City where he attended a General Practice Residency (GPR) at St. Anthony’s Hospital.  The GPR developed his surgical and endodontic (root canal) skills and provided him with training in intravenous sedation.  Dr. Laing extracted wisdom teeth on many patients under IV sedation, as well as treating various patients general dental needs. Dr. Laing married in May of 2005 to Amy Fillman, a member of his dental school graduating class. Amy and David moved to Katy, TX in 2005 where they reside with their son, Cole (born February 2007), their rescued Labrador retriever, Rusty, and their miniature schnauzer, Burger.
