Gum contouring is a procedure used to correct conditions like a “gummy smile”, an uneven gumline, and short teeth. More than not, the teeth are not too short but are covered by excess gum tissue, hiding a great smile. By removing this excess tissue, more of the tooth becomes exposed. This procedure is at times followed by restorative procedures such as veneers, crowns, and fillings.
